Polytar Scalp Shampoo: Effective Treatment for Scalp Conditions
Polytar Scalp Shampoo is formulated to treat various scalp conditions, including scalp psoriasis, seborrhoeic dermatitis, eczema, and general dandruff.
The active ingredient, Coal Tar solution 4% (w/w), works to cleanse and soothe the scalp by reducing dry scales, inflammation, and itchiness associated with these conditions.
This soothing shampoo is suitable for adults and children over 12 years of age.
Usage Instructions:
- Wet your hair thoroughly.
- Apply enough shampoo to create an abundant lather to cover the scalp and adjacent areas if affected.
- Gently massage the scalp and adjacent areas using your fingertips.
- Rinse the scalp and hair thoroughly.
- Repeat steps 2 through 4. Polytar Scalp Shampoo must remain in contact with the scalp for a total time of three to five minutes across the two applications.
Caution: Do not use after the expiry date. Store below 25 degrees. Keep out of sight and reach of children. Using more than recommended may increase the likelihood of skin irritation or sun sensitivity.

Safety: Polytar Scalp Shampoo may cause irritancy if in contact with sensitive areas, such as broken or inflamed skin. Stop using if irritation develops. Avoid contact with the eyes. If it gets in your eyes, rinse with clean water. Avoid exposure to strong sunlight or sun beds. If exposure cannot be avoided, wear protective clothing and sunscreen. Can stain skin or clothes and can rarely cause a temporary change in hair colour. Do not smoke or go near naked flames - risk of severe burns. Fabric (clothing, bedding, dressings etc) that has been in contact with this product burns more easily and is a serious fire hazard. Washing clothing and bedding may reduce product build-up but not totally remove it.
