What does the pre-treatment do in this haircare system?

Formulated with Vitamin C and Brightening Care Complex, it primes the hair for brightening by lifting pollutants and dulling agents from the surface of the hair to create the perfect canvas for cleansing and conditioning

How often should I use the regimen?
